Ayana Lage is a freelance marketer and lifestyle blogger based in Tampa, Florida. She is a former journalist and spends her free time watching crime procedurals on Netflix. Ayana is also expecting her first child in August 2020.
What are you most passionate about outside of being a content creator?
I love to write and got my professional start as a journalist! I’m also huge on family and spend most of my free time with my husband, my parents and my little sisters.
What sets you apart from other creators in the space?
I like to think my voice sets me apart. I really try my best to be relatable and share every aspect of my life with my audience, and people often tell me that it fells like they’re catching up with a best friend when watching my IG Stories, which is basically the highest compliment you can give any creator.
Favorite partnership(s) you’ve ever had?
Working with Coca-Cola! It was so fun to create content for a brand I’ve adored for years (my obsession with Diet Coke is too real).
What platforms do you see being the most influential within the influencer marketing space in the next 2-3 years?
So hard to say! I’d wager TikTok, but who knows if it’ll be banned by then. I love Instagram, so I hope it’s still a major player in the next few years.
What do you see as the future of influencer marketing in the next 2-3 years?
My hope is that brands continue to value micro and mid-sized influencers who are producing authentic, engaging content instead of just focusing on huge names. I may be biased, but I think ROI is surprisingly good for the little guys!
