  • Whether you’re rocking flannel, autumn colors, or your new favorite jacket, #FallFashion is the hottest trend on Instagram. Let’s see those fall outfits as we head into October!
  • The length of videos on Instagram Reels has just been extended to a whole 30-seconds! Users will now be able to create longer form content on Reels which will differentiate it a tad from TikTok’s 15-second videos. Let’s see what kind of new content comes out of this big change!
  • Featured Influencer Campaign: Colleges across the United States have begun hiring their own students as influencers to post COVID-19 safety messaging to their Instagram channels! At Missouri University, 6 students with 1,000-2,500 followers were hired and posted 18 total Instagram posts. Those posts reached 25,000 students and employees at the University!

  • Instagram Shopping is rolling out in-app checkout this month to all US business accounts and creators with a Shop for streamlined checkout!

  • With the NFL season in full swing, the #CrucialCatch trend is helping to raise awareness and support for the American Cancer Society. Users are showing off their athletic ability, dances and support for the cause with a ‘Donate’ sticker on-screen!
  • As October approaches, #ScaryStories have begun trending across TikTok! Users are telling their scariest stories about ghost run-ins, haunted houses, and more in this spooky trend.
