With more than 1.5 billion monthly active users, Facebook is the most popular social media site today. But with recent changes to Facebook’s feed algorithm, brands are struggling to reach their target audience as users’ feeds are now ordered by engagement rather than by the time posted. As a result, more brands are relying on influencers to spread their messages. Influencer content, particularly from power-middle influencers, continues to show up on users’ feeds because the influencers have built authentic relationships with their audiences, which naturally results in higher engagement rates.

Facebook’s user interface provides a variety of ways to optimize a sponsored program – from photo carousels and clickable images to audience insights and strong calls to action. And just as with any type of program, influencer programs perform best when approached strategically. Influencers who are up-to-date with Facebook’s newest updates and features can use their knowledge to create posts and updates that capture the audience’s attention and inspire action.

We caught up with Linqia’s Influencer Success Team and asked what they thought influencers should know when it comes to posting on Facebook. Here are their top four tips:

  1. Share Photos with Carousel. Flooding feeds with multiple posts or photos in succession is one of the fastest ways to get blocked, unfollowed, unfriended, or hidden from someone’s feed. Take advantage of Facebook’s carousel feature, which lets you share multiple images within a single post. Plus, all images link directly to your blog story so you can ensure it’s not lost in the shuffle.
  2. Include Clickable Images. The top performing Facebook posts include original photography. Grab attention with a great shot, but don’t forget to include your unique “ooh.li” link before uploading your photo so your audience can quickly click through to your blog and learn more about the product, service, or offer.
  3. Post When People Are Online. Take advantage of Facebook Insights and share when people are looking! By clicking “When Your Fans Are Online” on the “Insights” tab of your Facebook page, you can determine the optimal time to share your content.
  4. Encourage Action. Facebook is a great place to show and tell. Show your audience with photos and stories, then tell them how to get involved! You can make it easy for your audience to engage by including a strong call-to-action (CTA), whether it’s downloading a coupon, visiting a landing page, or joining the conversation.

Working with Linqia means you’re empowered to take control of your earning potential. Because our influencers are compensated based on how well their content performs, those whose content inspires their audience to take action have a higher earning potential.

Keep these four tips in mind and you’ll be well on your way to increasing engagement and optimizing your programs on Facebook!
