Journey to Becoming an Influencer
Amber Faust, owner and creator of Faust Island, began blogging in 2012. While her site started as a photography blog, she rebranded to parenting and lifestyle last spring to document her family’s personal journey. Amber now covers recipes, crafts, gardening, and kids’ activities, which she illustrates with bright, colorful photography. Faust Island’s name is inspired by the island the Faust family has lived on for the last 11 years.
Amber loves that her blog is both a creative outlet for her photography and a way for her to stay at home with her young children while contributing financially. She loves sharing what makes her family unique with the rest of the world — a story about a greenish, Doctor Who-loving family raising their children to be good people.

How Has Linqia Helped
Amber joined Linqia in November of 2016, after being introduced to the platform by a fellow influencer. She has since completed 11 programs, creating over 175 pieces of original content while promoting products and services for some of her favorite brands.
Amber loves working with Linqia’s program managers because they offer helpful suggestions while respecting her work as a content creator. As a result, she’s learned a lot about how to successfully promote sponsored posts while maintaining her authenticity as an influencer. Amber’s advice to those interested in becoming influencers is to organically weave sponsored programs into their lives and to consistently share high-quality content, sponsored or not. She also encourages influencers to reach out to their program managers with any questions or if a potential program is no longer a good fit.
