Stuck in a blogging rut? Suffering from a lack of creativity? Don’t worry, we got you covered! Here are 4 tips from Linqia’s Influencer Success Team that will help get your blog back on track and primed for success in 2017!

1. Analyze Your Content

Take a step back and look at the content you’ve written over the past six months. Identify which pieces perform best by analyzing what your readers have been responding (or not responding) to. Share more of what they love and less of what they don’t.

Spring is right around the corner so now is the perfect opportunity to do some spring cleaning on your blog. Refresh your site’s design and refocus on what your blog is really about. Are there any gaps in your content? Take this time to review and audit your site!

2. Brainstorm New Ideas

Now that you’ve analyzed your content, you might have discovered some content gaps. What next? Take an afternoon and set up a quiet space so you can buckle down and come up with some creative ideas to fill those holes and spice up your content.

Perhaps you haven’t tried creating a sponsored video or have yet to incorporate the popular flat lay photography style. Here are a few brainstorming techniques that should help get those creative juices flowing!

3. Seek Inspiration from Your Fellow Bloggers

If your brainstorming wasn’t as fruitful as you thought it would be or you’re itching for more ideas, use your fellow bloggers as inspiration! Scan through your favorite sites to see what you love most about their approach — is it their layout, photography style, or how they format their posts? Take inspiration from your peers to figure out what they’re doing best so you can rock your blog!

4. Test, Iterate, and Test Some More

You’ve audited your content, thought of new ideas, and searched for inspiration elsewhere — now it’s time to test it all out! Try out your new ideas and use analytics tracking tools like Google Analytics to see how well the content is performing.

While content is king, remember that data is queen! Skyrocket your site by quantifying the best performing pieces, then take those insights to tweak your content and iterate your approach.

With these tips, you’re well on your way to getting out of that blogging rut! If you have any questions, want to chat with a friendly ISM, or are interested in more tips on improving your site, feel free to email us at community@linqia.wpengine.com or browse our Support Center!
